LUCAS RACING
Lucas Racing is the official UK distributor and development partner for MS Kart, with a strong track record in 4-stroke karting success. The team also competes in the British Prokart Endurance Championship, further cementing their presence in the UK karting scene. Alongside distribution, Lucas Racing plays a key role in the development of race-winning chassis and components, working closely with MS Kart to drive innovation and performance.
KART STORAGE
We offer kart storage and transport to selected UKKS events
Storing your kart on a vertical stand is a smart, space-saving solution that keeps your setup clean, organised, and race-ready. Vertical stands not only free up valuable floor space in your garage or trailer, but they also reduce stress on tyres and suspension components during downtime. By lifting the kart off the ground, you protect the chassis from potential warping and make routine maintenance tasks like chain lubing or wheel inspection much easier. It’s a practical, professional way to store your kart safely and efficiently between race days.
KART PREPARATION
We offer race prep services for Honda Cadet and Prokart
Your kart should feel solid, responsive, and reliable — every bolt checked, geometry dialled in, and everything lubed and ready to race.
- Check and torque all bolts – Ensure nothing is loose or missing.
- Inspect chassis for cracks or damage – Look over welds, frame, and components.
- Check and adjust chain tension – Avoid skipping or excessive wear.
- Lube all moving parts – Axles, spindles, pedals, steering column, etc.
- Clean air filter – Ensure optimal airflow and engine performance.
- Top up fuel and check lines – No leaks or cracks; secure fittings.
- Inspect tyres – Look for wear, set correct pressures, and remove debris.
- Test brake system – Firm pedal, no leaks, pads and fluid all good.
- Final nut-and-bolt check – Go over every key fastener before loading up.

AWNING SPACE
We have awning space available at UKKS events allowing you to just turn up and have a working space at the meeting
A go karting awning is an essential part of any race day setup, providing a sheltered space to work on your kart, store gear, and stay protected from the elements. Whether you’re shielding from rain, wind, or harsh sun, a sturdy awning creates a professional pit environment that keeps both equipment and drivers comfortable and organised.
It’s not just about convenience—it’s about creating a focused, efficient space to perform at your best on and off the track.
KART BRAKE SERVICING & REBUILDS
We service most karting brakes and can rebuild them if required.
Regular brake servicing is essential to keep your kart performing safely and consistently on track. A well-maintained braking system ensures responsive stopping power, helps prevent mechanical failures, and gives you the confidence to push harder into corners. From checking pads and fluid to inspecting lines and discs, a thorough service can make all the difference in both lap times and safety. Whether you’re racing competitively or karting for fun, keeping your brakes in top shape should always be a priority.
- Check pad thickness – replace if worn.
- Look for uneven wear or glazing.
- Remove dirt, dust, and debris from calipers and discs.
- Use brake cleaner (not water or general-purpose degreasers).
- Ensure fluid level is correct.
- Replace brake fluid if it's old or discolored (usually every few races or 6 months).
- Bleed the brakes to remove air bubbles.
- Look for cracks, leaks, or damage in hoses.
- Ensure all fittings are tight and not seeping.
- Look for any leaks around seals.
- Ensure smooth piston movement.
